Lake Taylor Transitional Hospital Foundation Director
JOB SUMMARY
Working under the supervision of the Hospital Administrator and the Foundation Board, the Director of the Foundation provides professional cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Lead and direct the Foundation's fund raising and development activities.
Manage all corporate solicitations and grant submissions.
Oversee and implement strategies that will increase revenue.
Develop and implement a vibrant stewardship plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
Marketing experience and expertise.
Knowledge of traditional methods and annual giving (direct mail, benefit events etc).
Knowledge of planned giving and ability to present to select clientèle. Perform general management responsibilities, including annual plans, budgets, reports, and evaluation and oversight of gift tracking systems.
Written and oral communication skills and experience in grant and proposal writing.
Organizational skills, including the ability to set, maintain and meet deadlines
Works with all levels of management and staff; and the community at large
Is able to represent the hospital well in all settings.
Knowledgeable of IRS guidelines for non-profit organizations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in Annual Giving fund raising.
Formal tr aining in marketing/direct mail considered an asset.
Personal and professional skills necessary to interact with high level management andvolunteers.
Previous experience in developing and implementing annual fund campaigns preferably in education or healthcare setting.
Proven track record of achieving fundraising goals and initiatives.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work towards goals with deadlines.
Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze trends from quantitative and qualitative data.
Experience in working with faculty, physicians, healthcare leaders, hospital staff and volunteers.
Extensive knowledge of policies, rules and regulations governing charitable giving.
Ability to understand state and federal laws relating to information practices, charitable organizations and the tax benefits of charitable giving.
Able to work flexible hours as needed.
Required notice of resignation: 30 days.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience)
